Girls’ Night In

Pinot Grigio, Rosé, pecorino, goat cheese and proscuitto usually means a night out. But in my case, it was actually a night in with a few of my friends. We created our own charcuterie and cheese platter, complete with: Hungarian salami and prosciutto from Lamazou cheese shop in Manhattan; a selection of cheeses (Pecorino Romano, port cheese, goat cheese, herb goat cheese); the best blueberries and strawberries I’ve had all summer; a baguette, and a variety of crackers. That coupled with several bottles of wine, conversation and laughter made for a fantastic “homemade” night in.
I also had the chance to play hair-dresser! As a natural blonde, I’ve never dyed my hair, though I’ve always been intrigued by the process. So when my friend Kimberly needed some help, I was the first to volunteer! I was a little nervous at first, but then had fun mixing the gel-like dye all throughout her hair. And the end result? She was happy! I didn’t get they dye anywhere but her hair (where it’s supposed to be), and she liked the color!

After my first successful stint as a hair colorist, we got to the main event, watching our friend Viktor on Project Runway (include the hashtage #PR9Viktor in your tweets to vote for him as Fan Favorite). It was a nail-biting episode, as he was paired with a “dated” (for lack of a better word) contestant who definitely made the stilt challenge a serious challenge. But it was a happy ending, and Viktor made it through for another week (although, I’m gunning for Heidi Klum who had absolutely NO IDEA what she was talking about when juding Viktor!).

All and all, it was a fabulous night!
